UNC-Chapel Hill and UNC System Employee Enrollment
UNC Employees can apply for:
This option is available to students who have completed high school or an associated degree and have been out of school for at least 12 months, but do not have an undergraduate degree and do not want to apply to a UNC-Chapel Hill degree program. This option is available to students who have completed undergraduate degree and what to take UNC-Chapel Hill courses (graduate or undergraduate) but do not want to apply to a UNC-Chapel Hill degree or certificate program. Please visit our Visiting Graduate Students page learn more and to apply.
This option is available for students who only want to take classes during the summer sessions. Both students who do not have an undergraduate degree (including high school students) and students who have completed an undergraduate degree may apply. Please visit the Summer school website for more information and to apply.
Application fees and tuition may be waived if you are a permanent employee of UNC-Chapel Hill who works 30 or more hours per week. Please see the full employee tuition waiver policy for more information. Tuition (but not the application fee) is waived if you are a permanent employee of UNC Hospitals who works 30 or more hours per week. If you are an employee, you must forward a copy of your UNC One Card. The late fee is not waived if you submit your application after the deadline.
Note: Enrolling as a student and submitting your tuition waiver form are two separate processes, administered by two different UNC-Chapel Hill units. You should first apply to the selected path/program, then separately complete your tuition waiver form and submit to Benefits for approval and processing.
